This pandemic makes me feel like: Anxious about the many lives that are being changed so rapidly.
This pandemic makes me think: Our environment is showing the world how vulnerable we all are, and how the neglect of climate change will not provide a sustainable future.
This pandemic makes me hope/pray for: Economic and environmental transformation. I hope that corporations and the 1% do not take advantage of this situation to buy stocks, real estate etc., creating larger inequality.
If I had Three Wishes: 1) The environment would become one, if not the most, important political and economic focus. 2) Citizens of our nation, and the rest of the world could trust our "leaders" by having true recognition and support, as well as honest political input. 3) Cultivate/Maintain a culture that appreciates quality art, music, food, education, and diversity.
What I think of the federal government’s response: I think the Trump Administration's response shows his lack of competence, and I don't trust that we are prepared for what is to come.
Before this pandemic, my plans for the next 6 months were: Having violin students, and surviving in the bay area.
Predictions for when this will get better/end: Unsure. I think it depends how intense our shelter in place orders become, and how they will be regulated. I think if people stay too casual I've read that it can be as long as a consistent 18 months. I hope many people can return to socialize and work by August.
What I have in my fridge/freezer and pantry: As many fresh vegetables and fruit as possible, eggs, bread, rice, beans.
Creative things to do with kids: Play Music! Support teachers by taking online lessons, attending virtual concerts etc.
Ways I’m coping: Trying to get accurate information, and deal with my work and living situation accordingly. I most likely will move out of the Bay Area for the time being.
General advice/thoughts/anxieties to share with others: I think this will be a great time for individuals to reflect, and adapt to current/future vulnerabilities.
